Nothing important. It looked like a bad attempt at semi-relevant rambling poetry.

I'm sure the movie is going to suck, but I assumed that the moment I heard the words "hitman" and "movie" used in the vicinity of each other.
I assumed that when I heard the words "hitman" and "no hardballers" used in the vicinity of each other. Made me immediately flash back to that godawful Dolph Lundgren
Punisher movie.

Goddamnit. If there was a game that was a virtually-assured easy screenplay, it's any one of the Hitman series. How in God's name have they managed to fuck it up so completely that it's glaringly obvious what a turd it will be from that useless, uninformative, unimaginative, unexciting clip?
Also Timothy Oliphant is about a step and a half behind Billy Zane for this. We all know we wanted Statham, but I guess Crank kinda made that unlikely. :(
Crank was an utter hoot. Virtually non-stop action and (mildly) dark comedy from the get-go. The hospital gown, Chinatown, and ending scenes were fucking classic.

Must be a good comedy.

No hardballers? Are you fucking kidding me?
If there were 2 things I'd absofuckinglutely include in my own Hitman movie, they would be a.) hardballers and b.) fiber wire. And lots of outfit changing.

I didn't so much mean "Crank ruined Statham's chances / credibility / etc" -- more like it suddenly became unlikely that he was going to be available or interested. Or that a studio would have been interested in (and interested in affording) him.
Video game movies have a terrible track record, and I'm sure the budget calculus went something like "okay we need THIS much for special effects and post-processing, THIS much for sets and locations, THIS much for the standard costs of filming a movie... How much we got left? Is that enough to get Jason Statham? Oh. Who's Timothy Olyphant again? Will he shave his head? Fine." I don't think anyone's really stupid enough to sink scads of cash into another video game adaptation at the moment...
(He said, wondering who's going to be retarded enough to bankroll a HALO flick)

YES!
Sockbaby FTW. Overdrift is great, we need more movies like this in are horrible movie society.
