Shit, like I thought.
Is the novel any good?

Just watched it. It's ok, except for one scene which really bugs the hell out of me. Spoliers n shit. So, 47 has been betrayed by his organization and a bunch of baldheaded badasses in suits are after him. 47 enters an empty train in a subway-station and spots one of his pursuers, they both draw guns and close on eachother, then circle, mexican stand-off style. Two more baldheads come in with guns drawn and join the circular guns-akimbo slow-dance. Now, seeing as these three other baldies are there to kill 47 it would make sense if they had their guns pointed at him, doesn't it? But they don't. They all have one of their guns pointed at 47 and the other one at another baldie. Then 47 says "I'm gonna die with a little dignity" and the other baldies nod understandingly and everyone drops their guns and pull out huge machetes-akimbo from their trousers and cross them silently for a second before starting the fight. At first it's a free-for-all but after a while they're all fighting 47.
As the movie progressed I kept hoping to find out why those agents who were after 47 in the subway-station didn't wanna work together, but I found no answers. The only possible answer I could come up with was "beacuse all that mexican standoff business looked really cool from an above-angle cameraview". Now, I don't have anything against actionmovies doing things more for the sake of looking cool than it being logical but there still has to be some kind of internal logic to justify the characters actions. And the whole subway scene was just a mess.
Anyway, "DVNO" by Justice plays in one scene and the story is easy to follow and never feels boring so it all evens out by the time the credits roll.
HENKESCORE: 5/10

It flew through the cinema far too quick for me to even bother trying to go, although I've made a vow to just get out to the cinema more often - even if that means going myself. I'll catch this one on DVD.

Hitmanteen.
I read this as "Hitmanatee," which would be a
brilliant movie.

Look out Seaworld!!
If you pull this one off, you'll have all the sea grass you can eat.

Score another one for the utterly crap game to movie adaptations.

Actually, and I expect someone's gonna pop up to "passionately" disagree, I found it to be rather decent. I'm not a big fan of horror movies, but that one really seemed to come out fine as far as I'm concerned.

I liked it too, had its share of problems but was definitely enjoyable.
