Hi, guys. And happy holidays. I pretty much haven't posted anything here since the idea of Thief IV became Thi4f and Thi4f became THIEF.
I just got permanently banned from Eidos Forums for indirectly insinuating that a troll was a previously banned user with a new nickname continuing his trolling. It's funny how the rules are so rigid when it comes to troll enforcement that they can dance around all they want without so much as recieving post edits, but it's perfectly okay to make that exact exception when it comes to anyone insinuating that they are trolling. It's technically against the rules to troll, but that can be disguised as genuine idiocy. It's technically acceptable to be an idiot when you are actually trolling. Just like it's technically against the rules to point out that trolling, and it should be technically acceptable to merely indirectly insinuate it, just like how the trolls walk the thin line with their trolling. But apparently in the latter case the rules are different. The same technicalities that allow trolls to troll in a way that is obvious to users but dodges the rules, do not allow anti-trolls to point out trolls in a way that is obvious to users but dodges the rules.

We both know the real reason why you were banned, of course...as that was just a poor excuse to get rid of an intellectually potent NuThief naysayer right before release. Unfortunately, you were too much of a threat to EM's positive messaging, being the prominent and influential contributor that you are.
What a terrible shame that they would stoop so low in their desperation...:tsktsk:
