Huh, Plati got banned? What was the reason?
Anyway, we all know ttlg.com is the real Thief forum. Although I still hate the bright forum layout.

There was a flamebaiting troll whose single life purpose was to formulate fake opinions 100% in opposition to any opinion that fans of Thief might have. He wasted everyone's time by deliberately causing heated arguments by pretending to support the opposites of sensible things, and nobody had the right to publicly call him out on that, so that others could easily ignore everything he says.
I did the same thing as he. He was trolling the forum by carefully working around the rules, so that nothing he posted technically broke the rules. I made indirect insinuations of this fact, carefully working around the rules so that nothing I posted would technically break the rules, ie. I could call out a troll without technically doing so, just like he could keep on trolling, without technically doing so.
However apparently in the Eidos Forums, rules can be bent by the moderators, but only if it leads to the punishment of innocents. That's why I was banned.

The thing I dislike about the TTLG Thief forums is that there has been a general lack of disagreement. It isn't fun to discuss what is best for Thief, if everyone already agrees. In the Eidos forums, I could analyze and demonstrate why features implemented in Thief 4 are objectively inferior to its predecessors' equivalents. Here, I usually haven't needed to convince anyone of anything, because it would just be preaching to the choir.

There's one guy over there who I know is trolling from reading another forum. It's not the guy Platinumoxicity is talking about though I suspect(more than suspect, actually, it's pretty obvious what he's doing) that guy, too.
