I bought my used copy of Thief Gold in 2001. Price was 17€ but here's the funny part:
The box is original Thief - The Dark Project box but inside was a Thief Gold CD :cheeky:.
That real Thief Gold box looks beautiful and very stylish :). Can you sell just the box to me Sly :sly:?

The thing is, anyone can list anything they want on Ebay at any price. That doesn't mean they're going to get it. (There's also a current auction for another copy of Thief Gold with the bidding starting $25). If I had to guess, I'd say that no one will bid $80, but you never know.
Also, a search on Amazon comes up with 5 copies (used) for between $35-40.

I found four copies at Electronics Boutique a few years back.
Nah, they aren't canonical :p

I found four copies at Electronics Boutique a few years back. One I donated as a prize for one of Komag's FM contests. (Can't remember which one or who got it now.)
That would be Contest 5!
from the results page:
Quote:
BONUS PRIZE! A new copy of Thief Gold to Gregorius for Fate of the Art! The game was generously donated for the contest by SlyFoxx, and the prize was for the author that placed highest in the Gameplay category who didn't win an FM DVD and who doesn't already have Thief Gold. After years of research, I finally figured out that Gregorius was the winner! He could never find Thief Gold in Poland, so we're happy to hook him up!

Makes me glad I bought 20 copies a few years ago. Still have 3, and a bunch of taffers here and at EIDOS got the rest.
I knew there was a reason that I still have a minimum of 2 unopened copies of each publication (US pubs, that is) since TDP 1.14, including the dual packs and TDS.

It's a wonder LGS went under for all the copies of the games we all bought. I also have multiple copies of all the games!

So do I, I have the british versions, the trapezoidal us boxes, and of course the french versions. I'm only missing the german versions.
Plus I have some system shock, ultima underworld, flight unlimited... I even have a near mint copy of Car and driver :D
But it's been a while I stopped collecting LGS games.

I was able to get the Trapezoid box with all the goodies inside from Ebay for $20.00 a few years ago--it even came with the rebate offer for The Metal Age (a whole $10 if mailed in by Janurary 15th, 2001!).
Ebay sent me an email a couple of months after the fact to let me know: "Now would be a good time to resell the item." Screw them--NEVER!

Without the trapezoid box that's useless. I got my TDP Trapezoid for 10 dollars at a flea market years ago, and my Gold for 4 dollars in a GameStop used bin.
Thats just crazy, and I dont think they will get it.
