I've been telling myself all week that I should make a realy nice Deus Ex Wallpaper. I've collected 31 screenshots from (
http://www.gamespot.com) www.gamespot.com and a ton of fonts from (
http://www.fontplanet.com.) www.fontplanet.com. But I just can't seem to force myself to actualy sit my ass down with Photoshop and make the damn thing. Instead I just play Deus Ex & make posts here all the time.
Well, I figure, if I promise you people that by sometime next week, I'll have a realy nice wallpaper ready, I'll have to do it.
<a href="http://www16.brinkster.com/henkke/dx-early-draft-1024x768.jpg" TARGET=blank>Early Beta Version</a> 65KB
It's a early preview version, jpg-quality=0, 1024x768 res. took ca. 10-15min. to make.
The final version will(probably) be:
* 1600x1200, 1024x768 & 800x600
* JPG-quality=10
* 1600x1200 will probably be around 1MB
* I'll probably lose the lens-flare
* Thiner interlaces
* Not blue color scaled
* Lots of things ...
If anyone else has made any kewl Deus Ex Wallpapers feel free to post
links to them here, I would love to see 'em.
PS. I just wrote Holy Crap! in the topic to get everyones atention.

What teckneque did you use to get the horizontal lines? or did you just spend an hour lining them all up?
henke on 19/3/2001 at 12:22
Horisontal lines = Interlaces
Well, yeah I've made a 1600 x 1200 picture with lines(black & white) from one end to the other, one pixel width each. And when I want interlaces in a picture I simply paste that picture as a different layer into the pic & adjust it's opacity in the layer options.

Every time I make some pic, I usualy end up making alot of different version of the same pic by messing around with color-scale, colordepth & image-quality. Anyway, after having just worked on completing v1.0 a while now I decided to mess around with what I've come up with.
