The only way a stealth "boss battle" would work is:
1) You enter a large arena.
2) A gigantic thing (dragon, cyclops, mega-burrick) is in the center obstructing your path
3) The thing wakes-up and begins looking for intruders
4) You must evade it's roaming gaze and sneak past it to the other side.
Anything else is really just antithetical to the stealth design.
(Though it would be funny to have a "stealth-off" where you must sneak through one area and the "boss" must sneak through another... whoever is sneakiest "wins" ... maybe the "boss" would get captured )

I thought TDP did the "boss" thing perfectly, from a stealth perspective.

I hope that you can still kill kids in T4 - like you could kill the Pagan brats in T2 ! But I guess things are more politically correct now than back in the day,
I just realised that DxHR didn't have any kids you could kill in it !
One of the great things about the original DX was that it was one of the few games ever where you could kill a kid in a multitude of gruesome ways !
