No seriously, for all our disagreements, keep posting. Your efforts in repeatedly engaging with Tony are admirable.
Myself, I'll probably be here until they turn out the lights. I'm a creature of habit and I'm sometimes reminded why TTLG was something rather special and different.

Since all the 'older' members seem to have moved over to FB, that's where I spend more time now, especially when I just want to know how you all have been. I usually just skim any new threads here in the various forums (ok, I lurk a lot), but otherwise, it seems as though most of my old friends are mostly absent here at TTLG anymore. I miss the old ComChat, which always seemed a more lively and sometimes a dangerous place to be; but all things must change. Granted, we don't seem to be able to have the more in-depth conversations at FB that we once had here, complete with rantings, ravings, and bannings, but that's okay, as long as I know my friends are doing okay and still among the living (and post interesting pics of what's going on in their lives). I refuse to pine away for what once was. Besides, dethy's still as entertaining as ever over on FB. Bless his heart. I still love you guys and always will.
(Oh God, Chimpy, why'd you have to go and even mention that Tony guy?! Here I was feeling all warm and fuzzy and now I feel like someone just threw a bucket of ice water over my head. Thanks loads.)

Apparently "real-world benefit" is the major yardstick that you measure your past TTLG experience by these days. That might be somewhat of a retrospective distortion, no? Well, Facebook is certainly more aimed at that.
My experience is that the server's uptime is much improved and I'm just glad the place is still here, if only to see some old nicks from time to time. There's not much discussion anymore, but I had grown mostly tired of these anyway. When Subjective Effect left and took his privileged white male distress with him, the last example of a long row of people left the stage, that used to regularly generate discussions by pressing indefensible points.
Well, I guess I'm still here.
