I came because of the Editors' Guild, when I was making my first (and only) fan mission, and maybe I spent some time in Thief Gen too. Comm Chat always intimidated me, and when I finally got up the nerve to post I said brazen and thoughtless things, I challenged everyone, and I was put in my place. Looking back, it's interesting how personally I took it and how deeply it affected me at the time. I eventually calmed down and have been learning from this place ever since. :thumb:
Oh, and my old handle was Porsche944, which I just realized is funny because I ended up buying one last year.

A fellow at vocational college had burned a copy of SS2 for me. I'd read that Smudo (German rapper) really liked the game, whom I held in high regard. My copy turned out to be a pre-release leak. The official patch didn't work and I came here looking for help and soon began hanging around shock gen disc.

I can't even remember. I'd been a big fan of LGS since System Shock, I even got Terra Nova on release, but it was many, many years later before I had internet access. Since my love for LGS was still burning strong, I guess I must have gravitated to this site early on. I know I lurked for years before registering* though.
* With the unfortunate name of jizzlobber which, in my niavete, I only associated with a Faith No More song I really liked and not, you know, the other thing...

Yeah I remember it because people were merciless about it.
I'm trying to remember what I was first ZBane'd for. It was a long time ago!
I remember getting it for not anti-aliasing a spoof pic I threw together in 30 seconds.
But I remember always fighting back.
(Granted I always double check to antialias things now though.)
