That's what I'd like to know.
I've heard LGS were going to have three more missions. Anyone have any ideas/speculations?
As much as I love the game, I can't help noticing some very sloppy textures, overused ideas and lack of variety.
Thankfully it has less zombies and more steampunk and more of a stealth-orientation.
What are some things you think would have changed if they weren't forced to ship the game really early (when they realised they were going bust?)
Anyone?
Thanks

there would probably have been a mission where Garret managed to lose the last of his rope arrows and had to use these special ninja climbing gloves or something because he finds that no one makes rope arrows any more
and then while on a mission to see why no one makes rope arrows any more he would have been bewitched by some mage so that he forgets how to swim and drowns instantly in any water deeper than six inches
and then while chasing the mage down a damp fungus ridden corridor garret gets an inner ear infection and develops balance problems so he has to take a step sideways to lean ... and falls off things in the process, he finds he isn't able to climb round a ladder or look away from it while climbing as well
and then ....
oh you get the idea ;) :cheeky:

What the crap are you on about? Sounds like Thief DS to me.

Probably not much considering the technical limitations of the time. 3 extra missions... maybe some minor technical changes... but nothing too major.

Casing the joint and Masks would have differed more or been merged.

Interestingly enough, I think it's Randy Smith who was saying Thief 2 wasn't really rushed. But it sure looks like it in places (the briefing and cutscene art for instance). Assuming Randy's recollections have some merit, likely as not its problems also stem from there being too much content in the game in the first place and polishing efforts being spread too thin. Thief 2 came along before that whole thing about making games shorter (a lot shorter)
