What I mean is those annoying red, white or green sighting particles that light up every single time the center of the screen goes onto a useable object. Honestly, I cannot see the point of having a laser sight for ANY weapon if those damn sighting particles get in the way all the time. I know I can still see the dot even with them on, but I wnat to see ONLY the dot. By The way, I'm not talking about the "toggle crosshairs" settings in the control pane. I mean the ones in the game that let you know when something is either a target or useable. :o

You can't. It's a function of the AUG in your head, and it's self-powering.
Sorry!

Shit...thanks anyhow man. At least now I know. Game designers - listen to my rant - no more "non removeable" body functions!!!

The laser sight guarantees that your weapon will hit the centre of the target, regardless of how wide the targetting reticule is. So you can fire accurately on the move.
Which is not made at all clear by the description. I had one or two weapons with them the whole game and never used them because I couldnt see the point. Turns out they make the gun super accurate.

I'm sure that there *is* an option to turn off crosshairs. Crawl through all game options, it was somewhere in there. I can't look at it right now because the game is at home, but I remember that these crosshairs were removable. may be some editing of ini files does that at least...

Inity, there IS an option to toggle crosshairs in the game's control panel settings. But I think you're talking about the actual aiming crosshairs. I'm talking about the IFF "crosshairs" allowing to distingiush between foes ands friendlies. I find them soooooo annoying when sniping from a distance. Maybe you're right though. If anyone knows how to remove them in the game files, please post it!!!
