All those "Fan Mission Listing" threads here are far from being complete.
I rather pay a visit to (
http://thiefmissions.com), sometimes I select FMs by keywords ("Hammer") or by author names ... or just scroll down the whole list.
But before I start downloading any FM I look at the readme file which can be read on (
http://thiefmissions.com) without downloading the whole ZIP. It provides several information about the FM, especially the plot. If that sounds interesting enough I start the download ...

My dream is to come here one day and find like a dozen or more new missions..... I admit it, Thief Fan Missions are like a highly addictive drug to me.
Oh God yes. Me too!
I'm another one who plays them all. I started out with the "most recommended" ones people rave about. Since then, I just work my way down the thiefmissions.com list.
I've played 100s  and soon realised I needed a cunning plan, so I set up a "Thief FMs I've Played" spreadsheet, else I'd have no idea which ones I've played, or which ones I'd like to replay! :) Just recently replayed some faves: Calendra's doodah, Bathory, Black Frog and the awesome Seven Shades of Mercury.
I am constantly surprised when I discover a new-to-me FM that is great to play - good story, lots to do/find, and interesting environments. And I dribble quite profusely when a brand new shiny FM is released! :thumb:

When I still had time to play them, I started at the beginning and intended on working my way down to the end. Although after every 50 or so I'd also play a couple of the newer, better known missions. Sadly, I haven't even played most of the missions released in the last 5 years or so, including some of the really great ones.

I go in slow chronological order. I think I'm somewhere still in 2009 or so, but making my way...
If an newly released FM gets a lot of hype then I'll do it.

I look for something with a cool-sounding name, read whatever description the author posted, and look at any screenshots available.
If there's "horror" in the description, it's an instant download. I love spooky missions.

I play almost all of them, except for the horror focused missions because I'm a pussy and don't like creepy/scary missions. :P

I choose them after playing them!

I play them in strict order by date. I have played all the TDP/TG misisons at this point and am somewhere in 2008 for T2 missions. Sometimes I skip finishing a mission if it seems impossible but I don't want to miss any mission and mostly enjoy them all. If a new TG shows up, I immediately play it.
Please keep the FM'scoming. I am building a new mission but real life is such that I am taking a long time to build it.

I started by playing the most highly regarded FMs, Calendra's Legacy, Ominous Bequest, Inverted Manse etc. I began to think maybe that isn't a good idea, because since I'll probably eventually play them all, I wouldn't want a situation where I'm progressively playing worse and worse missions. So I usually just pick 10 categories, either from the threads or browsing thiefmissions, and download 1 missions that sounds interesting from each. Interestingly, I've yet to play a bad mission. I think I've played 40-50 so far.
