Am I a bad person for not being able to really get into the Walking Dead? The art style really irks me for a game that's trying to be serious, it reminds me of Borderlands.
Hmmm that's interesting you say that because I often keep heralding Walkind Dead as a shining example that you don't always need serious graphics to tackle serious ideas and motifs.
But hey, personal preferences, especially with art, are entirely subjective so no surprise or judgement intended Catbarf :)

More specifically regarding the game's art style, it's specifically mimicking that of the first 6 issues or so, before they changed to a new artist who went for a slightly more realistic (and unfortunately boring) style.

I watched the game. Watching the game did not make me want to play the game because I felt that Walking Dead was a story first and a game second.
God forbid!

Somehow I feel that any criticism I could bring up about this game will only be met with caustic sarcasm.

Played the first 2 acts of Kentucky Route Zero.
And I use the word "played" in the loosest sense possible because this is even less of a game than The Walking Dead is. There's not really any puzzle solving to be done, instead you're basically just clicking the story forward. So for those of you that felt TWD didn't have enough meat on it's bones, you might wanna steer clear of this one. You'd be missing out on some pretty amazing sights tho. Kentucky Route Zero is a beautiful game, and it sounds even better than it looks. The soundtrack is half (

There's some good writing in this, and I like the characters. Not sold on the story yet though. Is it even going anywhere? I'm not sure, but I'm enjoying the ride.

Technically the non-ambient songs are bluegrass standards (the one that plays in Episode 2 is based on an old gospel song!) with new lyrics by the Bedquilt Ramblers, of which I believe Ben Babbitt (the artist behind the ambient music) is a member.
