It's logical, I swear!
"[...] perfect closure [to the series in terms of storyline and world progression], and while [as a game] it has it's drawbacks[..]"
I hate/love you jtr. Please die/father my children.

As for the complaints... what the hell is with the love for the forward lean?
It's quite useful when leaning forward around a corner to k.o. somebody. They never see it coming! :ebil:
Imo, DS rates either a high D+ or a low C-. Perhaps if it had been created for the PC first and
then adapted to XBox it might have been a tad more enjoyable. At times it didn't even feel like it was a Thief game to me. Truth be told, I'd rather go back & play TDP (with all its Bonehoard nasties) rather than play TDS again (TMA being my ultimate favorite and which I think I've played about a gazillion times already). TDS just didn't seem to have the same magic that the first two games had.

Ah. That's better Mikael.

10/10. It's easily one of the best games i've played.. I even prefer it over the old Thief games (which i also loved, but i wouldnt rate them 10/10 more like 8 or 9). The level design and the varied themes really does it for me :cheeky: And yeah flame on you tards :laff:

Which is a borderline cheat seeing as how it let you k.o. people from the front.
Oh but it's different. Let's complain about anything, even if it's an improvement.

Until TDS came out, I thought Garrett's ability to blend with the shadows came from his Keeper training, like the Keeper in the first briefing who stands on the street in broad daylight and is unseen. At some point Garrett became a plain guy, in spite of all the characters reacting to his abilities as though they are extraordinary. The games are full of magic. The only non-magical excuse for these things come from outside the game. The engine...the developers...the game-editors....
Believing, as I do, that Garrett has acquired the skill to become invisible, kind of like the hag. It is not cheating at all to use one's talent. Backstabbing is a definite cheat, but it's a part of Garrett's character. The player can choose not to do it, but Garrett does not even care if it is cheating. Knocking a person unconcious by blackjacking their ankle or butt requires mad arcane skills I agree should be beyond his skill. Garrett has no interest in a fair fight. There is no honor in how he operates. He couldn't care less, but he has those moments. He simply wants to succeed in thieving and to survive to thieve some more.

If the game is enjoyable, which it was to me, then it's done the job. :)

As it is nearly every player who finds that before the "proper" time thinks it is a bug because of the unreasonable "block" that is there.
Word. I thought it was a bug in the game, that invisible force field.

also I liked the faction part of the new game except the favors was lame. the cornerstones and beetle bugs was ghey
Again, word. You steal their most valued relics and they decide to forgive you if you kill bugs or plant shrubbery under the buildings for them. If I was a Hammer, I would beat Garret up until he'd turn to a chalice himself.

I'd give:
Thief 1 - a B+
Thief Gold - an A
Thief 2 - an A
Thief 3 - a B-
