That was a frustrating video. I spent the whole time going "Gah! Stop looking around/faffing about and show me the joins!"

Three terrible minutes... :p
The rope arrows and the water are not finished, that's why I wrote they were "working" (and I apologize for not being able to make myself clear in a better way). And I think/hope that they can be finished once if there were enough people who took care of them. I don't know what the first twenty DromEd missions looked like.

Ok, thanks. Yeah, it was a bit misleading. You could say "semi-usable state", that would be a little more clear, but saying "we have rope arrows that work" gives the impression that they are fully functioning...as well as the comment on swimmable water, and I'm familiar enough with T3Ed to know that isn't likely going to happen.
Don't take this pessimism, but I highly doubt you will ever see fully working rope arrows or swimmable water in T3Ed. That isn't because of a lack of talent in the community, it's simply because the proper access to T3Ed is not available. Those systems are pretty much coded out...or so unfinished that there's no way to finish them. T3Ed needed a proper SDK.

I'm just replaying Deadly Shadows for the Second time and fairly enjoying it, but it's easily the worst of the Trilogy. I'm at Sunken citadel at the moment, haing just done Widow Moira's mansion.
Good Points:
-The Atmosphere is all there, on almost every level, thanks to great sound and level design. I absolutely Love the Cradle and Widow Moira's....Almost every level is brilliantly set out.
- I love the piece of haunting music on Moira's mission. It fits the bill perfectly. Also the music on Cradle still gives me the shivers
-The Keepers being the main focus was a good move.
-The Hammers are back!
-Missions are brilliant in general.
Bad Points:
-Where have my briefing cutscenes gone?
-The City sections. Need i say more?
-The Thief world seems more generically fantasy now than steampunk. 'The Clocktower is one of the highest buildings in the city.' Well spank my ass and call me Charlie, but half the buildings in Dayport where bigger than it. Where are the Victorian tenements and Art Deco Style? The City watch has moved from looking 15th century to 11th as well.
-Didn't like how the Mechanists are just 'gone'. They were awesome baddies.
-The Pagans. Evidence if ever was needed that half the developers hadn't played the previous games. The Voice acting was horrendous for them - they sounded like they were speaking in baby talk, especially the female pagans. half expect them to don a pair of big elf ears and go prancing in the bushes.
-Voice acting in general. Poorly scripted, but Steve Russell's characters are well given. There is one particular male american voice actor on it who annoys me to hell. His characters, especially his thug ones make the game sound as if it's set in New York for chrissakes.
-Stupid unenjoyable sub missions, like Pavelock Prison and Gamall's house.
-Gamall in general. Dumb bad guy, stereotypical....at least Karras was different in that he wasn't your average maniac and was constantly looming over your shoulder (Plus i loved Garrett's sheer hatred of him after Viktoria's death), and Constantine had me wondering what would happen up to the end.
-General gameplay issues that have been mentioned.
Rant over. But overall it's still a good game. It would have been a hell of a lot better if there were no city bits and just missions but there you go.
7/10 from me, compared to 9/10 for DP and 10/10 for MA.

I'm giving Thief: DS a B+
T2- A
T1- C
Thief 3 wasn't horrible but it wasn't perfect and it certainly wasn't like the first two. It was a fun enough game and I liked some of the featureslike Factions etc. I don't know about you guys but I found the climbing gloves more useful than those tricky rope arrows.T2 was my favorite of the lot because it had a good balance. T1 however appeled to me less because of the difficulty imposed and poor voice acting for Garrett(I didn't even recognize him in the briefing when I first played T:G.
