Studying for my securities representative and investment banking licenses.
I'm actually serious: the exams are no joke if you're coming from a non-finance academic background. That said I don't claim to have the same kind of attention span that most academic geeks do so I'm typically burnt out and ready to do something fun by the afternoon.

Tony, your morning sounds a lot like mine this week after I realized early wakeups are usually the most motivated and productive time in my day. So this whole week I've been literally jumping out of bed into work, while the coffee brews, and pushing in a few solid hours before the "I dont give a" fucks kick in :p

I've been volunteering for Hammers of Hope and Habitat for Humanity. We have been putting roofs on folks houses. It's hot, hard, and it takes every bit of energy out of your body (oh yeah baby) but it is strangely satisfying (oh yeah again). I do it with a lot of church folk so I have to watch my tongue (oh ye... no) but it's not so hard because you get into a rhythm and focus that allows you to get a lot done with minimum banter.
It feels good. It seriously does. It aches hell out of my old body but it is a solid thing you can point to and say "we did that". Talk about what is good is a barn wide miss but doing is a bulls eye. Alas now the heat is awful and projects have been put on hold till our brains won't fry so bad but honestly I can use the rest. It has become obvious my left elbow is never going to heal. I try to respect that but I am not going to quit using it entire.
This past Saturday I took my granddaughters to Chucky Cheese, Red Lobster, and carousel and train rides at the Tupelo mall. The bookstore is the calm down before the drive home. Not much lazy time but I do read every morning. I sometimes even carry the book out of the crapper with me for an hour or two if it's good. If it's really good the coffee goes cold and the blood pressure meds get forgotten.

Saturday mornings aren't my lazy mornings, I go to the gym every morning except Sunday and Monday. Those would be my lazy mornings, I guess.
Sundays, I generally try to sleep as late as possible to doing chores that the rest of my family wants me to do. Usually wake up just before lunch and have a nice fifteen-minute shower.
Mondays, I wake up late, but not overly late - sometime between 10:30 and 11:30, usually - and laze around in bed for a while before I get off my ass.

I try to get to creative projects in my free time. These days that means playing on my keyboard (piano). A few months ago, it was about technique ... getting scales, voicings, modes, and skirting the tune-improvisation line down. Then it was working out or writing some actual tunes.
More recently it's been about the other kind of "technical", figuring out how to record tracks & the how the whole keyboard-to-PC-to-mp3 pipeline works. I'm just now getting to the point where all the pieces can start coming together and I can get some tracks recorded, where it's not just experimental fluff but proper music.
I haven't been pushing it, though, just slowly but surely making progress each time, leisurely and as long as it makes me happy, and I'll mix in plenty of napping and lounging to music listening for ideas that I'll scribble into my notebook. So I guess it can still constitute a lazy morning routine.

Well, since my wife became pregnant, I largely spend my weekend mornings trying to find out what kind of food I can source and prepare which will prevent her from feeling like a heap of shit. Fruit markets seem to be the key to getting things off to a good start.

Congrats faetal. 😃
The lazy part of my Sundays consists of me watering the various banana plants and palms on my balcony and taking a walk with my beloved wife.

Thanks :)
My gaming backlog likely just became permanent, but at least I'll have a successor to take it on when I pass.
