The best I've been able to do is throw the parchment on the ground but I cannot seem to get it to shoot anything other than itself.
I figured it'd be easier to ask you guys than spend another 3 hours trying to figure this one out.

I followed every step in that tutorial and I ended up with the same problem, no projectile. :eww:

Can you be more specific about what you want? Do you want the spell shot by throwing down the scroll, or by using it in the inventory?

I can't remember the name of the FM and I am currently looking for it, but there was a medium sized fan mission which had some fire spell casting scrolls, a broken elevator, a particle bridge casting scroll, and a hidden library next to a mine with skeletal gaurds.
I am thinking he is looking for something similar to this mission.
You can look at this mission and possibly see how it was done.

The only other thing I think of doing is use or change one of the MotArchetypes in the object hierarchy like changing out the sword graphic for a scroll and using it as a bowlike weapon and use the critter shots tutorial to have a whatever shot from the end of the scroll.
I don't know if that would work, but it might be worth experimenting with.

Using it in the inventory.

You can look at the way the thrown items (sawblades, knives) are set up in my mission Hammerite Deathmatch, since they work that way. As I recall, frobbing them reduces the stack count and stims the player, which causes an Emit Tweq to fire once. I think I looked at the Staff of Far Reach in Broken Triad to figure out how to do it.

Or check my Cryptic Realms. There are tons of spells made after that demo.
