Stimulated by a discussion at Eidos forums again - what do people think about Garrett's stealth ability?
I understood that he had an innate ability to hide and observe and that the Keepers trained him to be more stealthy. In TDP you learn stealth at the compound and I felt it was very much a skill, not magic.
However, people at Eidos forums are saying that it is glyph magic that keeps him hidden. I've no doubt that the Keepers use glyphs to hide things but Garrett is no longer a Keeper, doesn't use any other glyph magic and even sneers at glyphs.
So is his stealth ability glyph granted or not?

Well, I think, it's important to remember, that Garrett, looking, as he does, rather similar to a cardboard box, doesn't need to hide at all, and, in fact, the mysterious thing is: why do guards, upon seeing him brightly lit, feel it necesary to attack in the first place?

I'm going to go against everyone else and say, no idea, I'm just that way.

Pure skill... duh! Plus, whatever gift he has that the Keepers keep bringing it up and are fascinated with. That's the only unknown in the canon about this topic.
It's not an opinion. It's literally knowing what is stated or not, and not knowing what is stated in the canon is not a bad thing, but this poll is making opinion more important.
He had nothing to do with the Glyphs, nor could he, having turned his back on them, until Day 3 of the events of TDS, when he finally performed his Acolyte Ritual and was granted the Glyphs for the first time. Once you know that, it's like...Duh! I mean... Duh!:laff:

If that's the case why are displaying an uncanny level of stupid over at the Eidos forums where you know this question orginated from?

Though this may apply better to the guys down at Eidos.

God Subject you still don't know me after all this time, this question is stupid. I don't care if it originated at Eidos, I don't read every single thread over there. I'm being stupid on purpose.... I was being sarcastic, you can't sense that can you. If this question has to be asked after all this time.....forget.
