I quit my job and make my living as a cat burglar now. It's nice, and it gives me more time to play Thief.
I just spit my coffee on the monitor over this comment :laff:
Thief, helped me get through some hard times for sure, and is always "there" when "here" is not so fun.

The reason I first played Thief was the category the PC Magazine that offered it had it at.
It was under the category ''unique games'' along with Deus X and System Shock if I recall corect.
I wanted to see what ''unique'' looks like and now I have a unique open window overlooking to many great, clever, kind ,helpfull, witty, supportive and unique people all over the world (and I am not even a ''peoples person''myself!) and a great unique neverending game(thanks to the FMs) that feells like home everytime I play them.
This Thief helps my observation and my patience improve, makes me sometimes think "out of the box",plan my moves ahead , learning about different people from the way they set their FMs....
Not to mention my improvment on computer know how!
One last thing, Thief improved my understanding to the other thieves out there :erm:
Have you tried to mandle wall after wall with all this gravity pulling you down and your lungs working overtime waking even the dead?
Or sneaking in the shadows and moving without making noises? :grr:
I think that the activities you chose for your spare time sould "add" in a positive way to your emotions, toughts, character... otherwise why do them?

With all that sound made I 'll have time to put the stolen vowel back and hide again in that shadow over there.
