I just made the jump across and thought that i had said goodbye to the thief games & system shock 2. well. apparantly not; after a small amount of messing.
Posted this purely to help somebody else.
*Installed thief gold
*downloaded NEW copy of DDFIX (the old version crashes on 7) and ran it in the directory
*copied "thieffixedgold" to the thief folder
*Renamed the original thief.exe to thiefo.exe (this is important. dont know why or how)
Then double clicked on thieffixedgold and it runs.... holy crap...
of course you then have to alt tab, start task manager and turn off all but one processors in the affinity tab.

You can use imagecfg to set it permanently to only use one processor. Although DDFix should have offered to apply that fix for you.

Do you have a link for the new DDFIX?
