if stoxy ain't careful, he/she/if other, please list might get reported and written up for the inhumane (yet vastly amusing) treatment of frogbeasts ... ! :cheeky:
hope your spawning license is up to date!

Wow. 4 pairs of parenthesis in 2 sentences. Like the stumps for the Watcher cameras?
Clever ;)

Love it! :D You should try and get every swordguard in the mansion out there.
I've seen the DeathStage=12 problem occur many times. Occasionally a water or gas arrow becomes invincible. Which is great for gas arrows as you can reuse it as many times as you like.
Mostly, I see it with the cannonballs from the CombatBots in Soulforge. If I'm feeling really playful I can get them to fill up an entire room with their smoking balls ;)

If I hit a non-wooded area it would stay there, floating but with no rope.

I think this happened to me too. I think it was LOTP, and I was on a roof and threw down a frogbeast and nothing happened. I waited and I waited...but nothing happened.

How in the heck do you force it to happen, because that would undoubtedly be useful.
Usually when the frogbeast bugs out, I just shoot it with a broadhead, it blows up and kills the guard, I get blamed, and then I have to reload. Reloading does tend to solve the problem.

You can run into death stage 12 alot in TDP. I first encountered it in Baffords. I KO'd the sleeping servent and hit him once or twice with my sword. Then, I picked him up and dropped him down the spiral stair case leading into the basement. I first noticed something was wrong when he didn't yell when he hit the floor. I went down to the bottom and picked him up, and he was still alive. That's death stage 12 for ya.

Heh, that's really cool.
I would suspect that there might be an un-initialised variable in Thief's C++ code, that's the most common reason for 'random' oddness in software, strange behaviour which happens every now and then, with no observable pattern.
A question:
Does this tend to occur more often when you have been playing Thief for a long time without rebooting?
