So we all know that copy protection is like women: It's bad with them and not good without them.
Therefore I am now asking you, yes, YOU! To riddle me this: How much copy protection would you be willing to put up with?

None.

My first preference is none. My realistic preference is something that just activates the software the first time you run it, never requires the disc in the drive after install, and basically just leaves you alone to play the game after that without requiring any special software or an internet connection.

None.
So all of your games are warez? Or do you simply recite Litany of Hate every time you enter a CD-Key?

-I'm happy with online activation.
-I'll put up with limited activations if there's a revocation tool.
-No revoke tool though? I learnt my lesson with Crysis Warhead. Subsequent purchases of these titles get the keygen + crack treatment.
I'll always try to crack games with a disc check, for convenience.

Anything that utelises a program like steam is a-ok. Anything past that can fuck right off.

So long as they don't sell me out the the CIA, I'm fine. :cheeky:
But honestly, I don't like DRM, its nothing more than a steaming pile of shit put into programs to make producers feel like they're proactively battling piracy. I'll deal with some of it; but if its a single-player game that requires some sort of online activation or some shit, that bastard's getting the crack+keygen treatment so fast it'll make its digital head spin.

Lots, as long as I don't notice it's there.
Preferable, Steam.

What I'm ready to put up with?
Disc checks? Yes, but only when starting up the game, CD checks done every few moments while the game is running is pointless and resource-hogging.
Disc keys? I've been used to this for years and years, I see no reason to start disliking it now, although they are about as pointless as disc checks to prevent piracy.

Steam is about as far as I want to go.
