Recently I have come to the conclusion that several of you must dedicate some serious time to playing video games. I, myself, at one time played 60 -70 hours a week when I was depressed and unemployed. Anyway, just curious what sort of time you allot to gaming per day/week/month or whatever.
Currently, I play 1-2 hours a day, 5 days a week and 2-3 hours on the remaining 2 days (those are my 2 days off of work).
Ok, NEXT...

I reckon I would have done around 40 hours a week back when I had nothing to do except hold down a job and study.
Nowadays, I'd spend around 5 hours a week on personal projects, of which probably 1 hour on average is spent playing games.
A part of me misses playing games like I used to, but I recently visited a friend who's about to move away, and spent the night at his place playing games (first time I've spent a night away from my family since Harrison was born) ... and although it was fun, I don't know if I'd be happy going back to that lifestyle again.
So I get stuck in this weird rut where I'm still just as interested in games and gaming a I always used to be, but I actually spend considerably more time talking and thinking about games then playing them.

I play mostly on weekends, but you'd be surprised at how quickly making games for a grade drains the fun of playing them.

I don't ever really sit down and play anything for very long, so I usually play until I reach a good stopping point and conclude my session there. For FPS its usually the next level or quest in RPGs or battle in an RTS, I haven't had the time or attention span to do more then that for a long while. I might do this two or three times in a day if I'm really looking to knock a game down but I probably play 10 hours a week when I'm playing "alot" of video games.

I tend to play between 2 and 8 hours, usually on the low end. Some days I don't play at all- like I haven't played anything other than L4D with friends since ragequitting Clear Sky, partly 'cuz I'm not sure what I want to slot in next.

I probably average less than 15 hours per year, with the last spike in 2006.

I am one unhappy dude.
so now you are just employed and depressed?
anyway I'll bite on this one, cos it is quite interesting to see how much people game. So having kids, a lot of my time spent playing games is with them, say 1 hour a day, mostly console and hand held stuff.
Then I have my personal gaming time, which is usually pc related, probably about 5 or so hours a week. That leaves social gaming, which is usually some sort of lan thing with mates, anywhere from 1-5 hours a week.

On average 2 hours a day, although occasionally I go on 4-5 hour binges (e.g. if I get a new game or something). I think 2 hours a day is pretty reasonable

Lately, very little; a couple hours a week if even that. Games have been feeling a lot more like a chore, like I have to grind through my backlog. At work or someplace away from home I'll get briefly excited about some game that I haven't finished yet, and by the time I get a chance to play it, the thrill is gone.
I tend to game in cycles anyway, so I imagine at some point I'll get back into it. Like Chade, I'm still interested, and at the moment I spend more time reading about upcoming releases than playing anything.

Not as much as I wish. On a good day I'll play about an hour or two. Three if the shit's really rolling alone quite nice.
But, yeah, can pass days without playing if I lose my rhythm.
