36, male, and I think my first game experience was with Pong around a friend's place when I was 6 or so.
My first system was a Spectrum 48K in 1983, and the first game I owned for it was Zip Zap by Imagine.
I'm slightly relieved that I'm not the oldest person in the thread!

I'm 23, male. As a young child I played on my older brother's C64 and later his PC. I played PC games pretty much exclusively until by brother moved out in mid-1999. I lived and breathed the shareware game era and played all of the big name PC FPSes, i.e. Id Software games and Duke 3D. I also loved Mechwarrior 2, Warcraft 2 and space sims like TIE Fighter and Wing Commander.
I got my first console in 1999, it was a N64. In 2000 I got a 2nd hand PS1, because PS1 emulation at the time was rubbish (see Bleem). I've owned pretty much every major console since aside from the Wii.
In-between 2002-2006 I played on mostly consoles because I couldn't afford a good PC (the Xbox 1 was a God Send for people like me, as it often received PC ports and had PC style RPGs, from the likes of Bioware). I had a 'puter that my Mum had gotten from her office, it had some rubbish Intel IGU but still managed to play Quake 3 engine pretty well, even more demanding ones like Jedi Outcast. I did slog through Neverwinter Nights on this PC, but at times it ran like arse. I got a new PC in 2007, which I'm still more or less using to this day (I've upgraded almost everything).
