22-Male
First Game: Ghostbusters (NES), but was too young to remember the details. Mostly just smashed buttons according to my parents.
First Games I actually played: Ecoquest, Adventures of Hyperman, Invention Studio, SimAnt, and Toon Factory. Later I installed and played Descent.
Later came other point/clicks (MYST!!! and Riven...), as well as Baldur's gate (I still have the original CD holder that the discs refuse to stay in). Didn't discover Thief, Deus Ex, Sytem Shock until it was already a legacy, but I'm glad it worked out like that, now my memories of the awesomeness are clearer.

26, Male. Born in 1983, one of my earliest memories is of 'helping' my dad play Elite (I was allowed to press M to fire the missiles), probably in 1985.
I still remember the terror one day, years later, when I was old enough to play Elite myself, when I accidentally saved over my dad's Deadly-rated save game (neither of us actually ever got to Elite). Happily by then he'd stopped playing it, so I don't think he ever noticed.

I'm a 21 year old guy, started out on the Atari 800, playing games like boulder dash and dig dug, MR.Robot, Pacman, Space Invaders, etc. I really only play games when I have nothing else to do, which is rare. I mostly like games for the technology behind them.

39, male. First game was pong and then an Atari 2600, both were hand me downs from friends or relatives. First I ever bought was a used NES in late 89from a guy I was in the Navy with.
