Well, I'll de-lurk to toss my 2 cents on the lighter side of the scale.
Female, 25.
My first game was Mario/Duck hunt, played sometime in early grade school. (NES for Christmas, whoo!) This was followed by a slew of other NES games, mostly the Mario ones. Later aquired a Super NES, NES 64, Xbox and a PS2 in that order. Mine was a Nintendo household for quite some time.
First PC game was probably 'The Secret Island of Dr. Quandary' (at least that's one I remember really well) also sometime in grade school. My parents were pretty keen on the educational games for the PC, so that was mostly what I played when I was little (Math Blasters, Odell Down Under, Treasure Mountain! etc.).
First non-educational PC game was Chuck Yeager's Air Combat, then Myst I think. After that, too many to list.

Female, 32, been playing games pretty much as long as I can remember - since my dad bought a ZX81 and I played mainly text games on it. Then we got an Acorn Electron, followed by a BBC Micro and then when I 13ish we got our first PC.

I'm 24, male, from Lincoln in the UK.
First game I played was a compilation that included Pacman, in Dos, that my dad had to upgrade the computer to run. Yeah!
First game I can actually remember playing was Secret Agent, a great little Apogee platformer from 1992.

30/M/UK.
First game I can recall on a proper computer was Exolon on my cousin's Spectrum. The first game I myself owned was Ghostbusters for the Commodore 64 (along with the 'educational game' Spirates). The first PC game I bought was TIE Fighter (I hung on to my Amigas for quite a while).

Where ya' been, Matthew? Anyway, glad you're back.

Thanks, gunsmoke. Just had a few things going on that kept me away (plus I was afraid that Eva would shout at me :( ).
