When I first heard of Thief TDP on a video included on my old soundBlaster card back then at 9 years old  , I had the feeling I want to play it :D
Yeah I'm naughty kthx :p After several months later, I got the chance to finish the download the Assassins Demo Level on a broken internet -.-"
As I began to play the demo, I was a little creeped out when Farkus got pierced by the assassin's arrow. A new objective appears in front of me, yet I was completely braindead on knowing where to go :bored:
Soo any of you guys like to share your stories about how you felt when you first played any Thief game? :D

I was 16 or 17 when I tried T: DS. 18 when I tried Thief Gold/2, and I'm only really playing Thief Gold (and hopefully 2) now that I'm 19. Every time I tried it in the past I felt overwhelmed, incredibly tense, hopped up on adrenaline, and absolutely terrified. I never quite understood why they scared me so much, but it was only today that I got the nerve up to beat Cragscleft Prison. Goddamn was it ever worth it. Now, I have to figure out how get through the Bonehoard. Darr.

I was 15 when I first played TDP demo (when it first came out) and I played it for ages and ages. Then I saw the game at the shops a few months later and wanted to buy it but mum thought being a thief wasn't all that moral (it's a game!) Anyway, I forgot about it and played the demo again and again.
Later I couldn't find the game anywhere. One day I sighted it again (I was 19).
I bought it straight away and then Thief 2 not long after. I played the death out of them and loved every moment.
I later bought Thief Gold from a wonderful soul from TTLG.com
Thief Gold and Thief 2: The Metal Age are my absolute favourite games.
I'm so annoyed that game developers opt for great graphics over great and innovative game-play.

I was probably 9 or 10, and my mother's friend has given us the first game. After stumbling through the first mission and then skipping the rest (well, my sis did most of the playing, anyway), we played through and happened upon T2 while in EBgames. We bought it, along with Thief Gold, and played them to death.
We got TDS around when it came out (I was 12 or 13, I believe), and we played it through pretty fast.
Anyway, when first playing Thief, I didn't absorb most of the story (but I did, for some reason, enjoy wwatching Garrett's eye being taken), but rather ran through the levels for fun. It was a few years before I tried actually playing it the right way. I'm still as afraid of zombies as I was then (though I did just make it through the mines on level 2! :thumb: )

When I was somewhere between 8 and 10 years old, I would download a demo every Friday. One day, I didn't really know what do get, and my mom suggested Thief. So I played the demo, and loved it. Then I got the game soon after. Then I got Thief 2 a few years later. Then I got Deadly Shadows a few years later... Then I played it a few years after that.

It was back about... 8 years ago? So I was around 10...11, when I played the old Thief 2 demo (which I did, many, many, many times) I got in a Eidos demo CD I got with an old edition of PCXL or something like that... I forget which specific mag it was, but I remember thinking "Damn... This is AWESOME!! :thumb:"

I got TDP with my SoundBlaster Live! Value Pack back in 1999. I had never heard of it before, but I loved it. I was 29.

First played it in December 2004(!), age 28. Well better late than never.
