Not a problem for people who regularly strip their Windows startup of extraneous services and programs. Hell, I wipe and reinstall every so often just to keep things fresh and tidy.

True, but most people have flash/steam/air whatever. This seems a bit like Chrome's auto-updater (in the way that it just stealthily drops itself into your config)

Is this supposed to be about a technical/security problem? Because you talk like a 13 year old who's just heard of sex the first time and now has to shoehorn this topic into everything he says, so people realise that "he knows".
Not cool Vernon. :tsktsk:
Anyway, don't have that process or exe. You're screwed. (hehe lol, I said "screwed")

What an odd, over-the-top and ill-conceived reaction. You think I care if some dudes on a forum know that I heard about a security bug on twitter? lollll. I was just curious whether anyone had seen this in the wild. Crawl back under your rock

Still, it does seem like a strange way of presenting the topic at hand. Also, kind of an unnecessary topic period. If there was one of these for every virus/worm/unexplained process running on people's systems, this place would be like 1999 again.

Well in that respect, I'm surprised this thread didn't already get lost amongst the hundreds of other active threads in Commchat

You don't seem to remember me very well. Odd, over-the-top and ill-conceived are just some of my names. Trouble is another.
Now tell your daddy he shouldn't give his login data to minors that lack reading comprehension and giggle at common words.
Would the real Vernon please stand up?

Hmm, I see a flaw in your methodology. The response "Too retarded to answer" is going to get undercounted because this is, in fact, too retarded to answer.
FTR, though, I periodically prune the tasks on my laptop. It only has a gig of ram so it has enough to deal with without bloatware.
