I was wondering how to change the number of AI in a FM in Thief 2?
For example: say you have two combat bots and two mechanists that you start off with?
Where do you go in dromed to change that number?
Can you change all of the number of AI in the game? Increasing or Decreasing them?
Making AI is a headache in dromed, but I would think just changing the number of AI already in the FM should not be so bad.
I think it would be fun to have say TEN combat bots you have to get around and ten mechanists. Just to play the game a different way and increase the difficulty somewhat, because you would have more AI to patrol with.

Hilight one of the ai you want to recreate, then click on "Class" to the right and below "Properties"
This "Class" button will take you to the Archetype from which the ai was created. Just click on "Create", then anywhere in your mission, use your cursor, and left mouse button to form a rectangle. Use the "Floor" button to bring it up from the floor or down to the floor. Done. Another easy way is to just use "clone".
Hilight the ai you want to clone, and click on "Clone" Use your shift key, and left mouse button to move the hilighted ai. The clone button is left of the Properties button.
Once you have created your ai,then fully process the mission, and save .mis

The main issue is you can't just tell dromed how many AI are in a level, you have to specifically place each AI at a unique location. How else will it know where everything goes?
It's really pretty easy, just do as MysteryMan mentioned above. You can also use the Insert key instead of "Clone" to make a copy of an existing AI.

I believe he's referring to changing the number of AI in an FM created by someone else.

I understood that he was talking about difficulty...
If it is your question, select an object, click on properties: Difficulty>Destroy
Then select:
0 if you want the guard to disapear in Normal
1 if you want the guard to disapear in Hard
2 if you want the guard to disapear in Expert
The other numbers are useless.
Note:
-You can select all the numbers that you want,
then do that a guard will disapear in Normal & Expert or in Hard & Normal or Hard & Expert or Normal & Hard & Expert.
-The test setting per default is nothing so you'll see no guards disapeared. It will works only if you set a test difficulty in Dromed or in the Main Game.

It's not necessary to 'process' just because you've added an AI.

Okay, wait a minute. I think I get what he's asking.
Webe123, do you mean increase the number of AI as the game is playing? That is, you start with only a few AIs, and then as the game progresses, more AIs are added?
If so, I'm sure it can be done, but you'd have to set up a complicated spawning system. Someone with better knowledge on spawning will have to help you with that, but I'll bet you'd use NVScript as part of the process.

I think he's just wanting to add/remove AI from a mission before he plays it.

Let's be more simple: Webe123, could you be more accurate about what you want to do please?

It's this line that scares the hell out of me:

Like... he thinks there's a mystery magical "Control the Population of All AIs in the Mission" dialog hidden somewhere. Kind of like how all salad bowls in real life have a knob on the bottom that controls how many cherry tomatoes are present. So I can see where he got the idea.
