That doesn't make any sense. If they're there at one point, they should always be there. (Unless there's something I'm not aware of...) Did you perhaps load the old FM file by mistake before you added the bots?
Sorry it does not make sense to YOU, but that is what is happening! And no, I did NOT put in an old FM.
I even tried loading in another FM, then tried loading BACK in the original FM of soulforge revisited into darkloader and in dromed I went to editors, object heirarchy, physical, creature, robot, then darkened combat bot...clicked on the create button and made a few combat bots near my starting point. Then saved the mission and hit ALT+G But they simply do not appear. They did the very first time I tried it.
Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I should try to reinstall dromed?

What's a darkened combat bot? Is that just a combat bot? Have you tried any other robots to see if the problem is just with the combat bot?
I'm guessing you probably don't need to reinstall dromed.
Try this, click on one of the bots and bring up it's properties, click Add-->Shape-->Model Name. The name in the box should be 'robotcom'. Go into your Thief2-->mesh folder, and if there is a robotcom.bin file rename it or something, then go back into dromed, add the bots and see if they appear.

My guess is that you built them in solid.

I simply meant I darkened the combat bot to choose it in dromed.

The mesh folder has no robots in it at all.
I tried it with a worker robot and no go there either.
The robotcom was where it was supposed to be.
I GOT IT WORKING!
For some reason, there was a folder called Miss21 and wen I deleted it, the bots started appearing again for some reason! it was in my Interface folder in thief 2 and contained gaols.str PAGE001.PCX PAGE002.pcx page003.pcx and page004.pcx

Those have nothing to do with combat bots appearing in game, atually :P

We know what you said. WTF do you
mean? There is no "darken" function in DromEd.
gigagooga on 20/8/2013 at 14:01
I guess we all should make conclusion that even the simplest things in DromEd seem basically impossible if you haven't gone throught tutorial on how to use DromEd.
kdau on 20/8/2013 at 17:53
ZB et al.: I'm sure "darkened" just means "selected" here. It is a bit odd that we also say "highlighted" when most operating systems make GUI elements darker, not lighter, when selected.
webe123: Are you positioning the bots in the "top" view without changing the Z coordinate afterward? A new object positioned in "top" view will have the Z coord of whatever brush or object was previously selected. It's possible that some of your bots were created far above or below the world. If you did enter a proper Z coord, keep in mind that the engine is very picky about AIs and floors. If the AI is placed directly on the floor (such as with "floor me") or below, it is likely either to fall out of the world or to get stuck. Always position AI (and often position other sphere-physical objects) at least a quarter unit above where they should be sitting/standing. Anyway, just a few possibilities for the disappearances. :)
sNeaksieGarrett on 20/8/2013 at 18:31
Ah, that's a great point kdau, I hadn't thought of that. If you don't see the AI, that could very well be the issue.
Something that came to mind: if the object was where you put it but had a wedge object, then in that case it means the model is missing. Considering you didn't say that webe, it must not apply here.
