Just reinstalled TDS for hopefully the last time. Bought it through Steam and it looks like most of the installation/save folders are in the game directory instead of spread around, which is very nice. Hopefully this is the last time I have to go through this. Anyway, ran into a couple problems. One was the crash/freeze when trying to load a game or exit, after applying a FOV patch (or setting the rez to -1 in the .ini perhaps?), which was fixed by using another, previous FOV patch's "crash fix" function, which is a one time operation. Awesome. Then i ran into the lockpick/ladder climb bug, thus had to enable Vsync to get it to work and got major mouse lag. I searched everywhere for a fix and finally found one. I only saw this in one place, so i figured some here might not have heard of it and will find it useful.
Simple: Use Dxtool (Fraps alternative, i guess?) and set the maximum framerate to 58, done. Thats it, most, if not all of my mouse lag has been eliminated. Im sure other programs can do the same. Nhancer is one i think, for Nvidia only i would guess.
