Thank you Robin, two cylinders of 24 sides, damn that demands alot of cells, i think it won't hurt if i make one for a door.

It shouldn't do. I'd built it, see what comes out the other end and if you can't persuade it to merge the cells in a sane way then build it differently.
Personally I'd do it with wedges or cheat completely and use object(s) for the decorative bit. It all depends on what you're trying to achieve though.

before i used to do vaulted arcs with edges or stretched cylinders of 8 sides.
