I've found a few threads that halfway talk about this, but no real solution. I have a posed corpse which the player has to carry around, and I'd like for it to set AI on high alert if the player drops it in a place where it's spotted. I've tried adding all sorts of properties and links on top of the normal posed corpse properties trying to get this to happen, but I just can't work it out.
To answer some of the obvious questions:
* The corpse is the same team as the living AI
* I've added DarkGameSys > Stats > Found Body, didn't work
* I've added AI > State > Current mode > Dead, didn't work
* I've added a CulpableFor link from the player to the corpse, didn't work
...and probably a dozen other things. I've spent a lot of time with game_mode_backup set to 0, killing an AI and observing what properties are created and what links are added to and from him, and to and from other AI who walk in and notice him and go on alert, but I haven't yet found the solution. Has anyone ever been able to make a posed corpse alert other AI?

Huh...
I just loaded up DromEd in Thief1, and Thief 2, created a maleserv1 in front of a guard, set his Current mode to "Dead", and the AI responded immediately by barking about murder, in both T1 and T2. Is there something unusual about the guards you're using?
Are you using the M-PosedCorpse metaproperty? Is there something about it preventing AI from caring?
[Edit]
Just tested it, and the M-PosedCorpse metaproperty has AI->AI Core->AI:Null set. This prevents it from actually being an AI, apparently, because other AI do not respond to the corpse if it is set. Remove it, and they appear to notice the body just fine, so long as its Current Mode is set to "Dead".

Wow, thanks! I should have thought to try removing AI:Null, I hoped it was something simple like that.

Now we all know I suck at dromed but I just have to say this might be the best thread title ever.

It's funny, at first I couldn't get this to work even just starting from a brand new Male Servant with his State > Current mode set to Dead. Then I realized perhaps the room I was in was too dim, so I moved to a brighter location and got the expected reaction. However the first spot was bright enough to light up the gem about 40%, so I guess the player will have to be dumb enough to drop the body in a brightly lit spot to have it be noticed. But, it's better than having AI completely ignore the dead body all the time. Thanks again, AM_16.

How to make a posed corpse suspicious?
Hmmm, I don't know. Sit down next to it in a trench coat and fedora and pretend to read a newspaper (which you're holding upside down) while you cast furtive glances around the room?
