It's always bothered me that you can club an apparition or hit it with a sword. That just feels wrong. Holy water, sure, but physical weapons should just pass through. Is there a way to do this? Giving it receptrons set to Abort stops the harm, but the animated arm still behaves as though the apparition were solid and makes hitting sounds.I had thought that collision type No Result would do it, but it turns out it won't. That gives the normal hitting effect. But specifying only No Collision Sound does the trick. Who knew?

Basically you're removing Bounce from the Collision Type parameter. I was also going to suggest using one of the Phantom AIs. They're set up this way with No Collision Sound, No Result.

But will a holy water arrow still hurt/kill it then?

You can't use No Result as No Result still results in the AI being hit.

The arrow itself doesn't hit the AI, but the splash of holy water does. So you aim for the feet or a nearby object to get the splash. Also, the flashbomb & flash mine work.

Phantoms have a 'non physical' property, however there is a tendency for such AIs to fall into walls and vanish (as in Casing/Masks). Quite a ghostly effect but definitely a bug rather than a feature. The phantoms used in Trail of Blood didn't patrol so it wasn't a problem in that mission.

On the Phantom it probably doesn't make any difference if
No Result is set but this is how LGS set up theirs with the Pagan phantoms.
Robin I have been experiencing this very bug as I have put phantom haunts into my mission. Since the passages are narrow they tend to escape into the wall when performing u-turns. I like them being able to walk through the player with the non-physical property but they aren't important to the story.

This keeps happening in my Zealot's Hollow mission, so some people have seen the ghost and other people have never see him.
