How many times are people going to have to tell you you're using the word "opaque" backwards until you understand?
you're the first person telling me the word "opaque" is backwards.

No, others also pointed out that it means the opposite of transparent, but you keep using it to mean transparent.

Opaque just means not-transparent, in other words, no alpha channel, or no use of index 0 for a paletted image.

Pedro, "opaque" just means "not transparent". So any texture that isn't transparent is opaque

funny because in portuguese we say opaco and it means semi-transparent.

In English you would need to say semi-opaque or partially opaque to imply that there was some transparency. If you simply say "opaque", to most people it implies fully opaque/non-transparent. Anyway, it's interesting but not a big deal.

ok, i´m ashamed to admit :o, but i found now that even in my native language opaco means that its not transparent , i don't know how all this time i though that opaco/opaque was semi-transparent.
