Yes! Or a compromise would be after you kill someone, or leave someone unconscious for zombies to find, to see them undead later on, as if to seek vengeance upon you, specifically, but without excluding other tasty hot-blooded AI.
I'm still waiting for games to have morphing textures and meshes so stuff like that could happen without slaying one model and teleporting a different one into its place.

Artistically, they couldn't go wrong with aping from Stephen Gammell. He did the art for those old Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books, and is responsible for scaring the living hell out of an entire generation of kids.
