Yup, he accepts danger in some kind of sceptical way. Reminds me of the last sentence in the cutscene before Bonehoard about the holy water...
He does not really have big fear of things. I think he believes that with an effort, suicidal missions can be done.

He's a greedy suave coward.
The Shroud on 21/11/2008 at 03:37
Greedy, yes. Suave? Garrett??? And in what way is he a coward?

Coward? In that case, we are all gigacowards... so STFU about him being a coward.

Visiting the haunted cathedral to get the Eye, or descending into the Maw of Chaos to take on the Trickster hardly strikes me as cowardly.
AfroTaffer on 21/11/2008 at 19:30
Did I write coward?
I mean, smart!
The Shroud on 21/11/2008 at 20:42

His cowardice (never mind the aggressive players or aggressive player moments) is in avoiding confrontation when he is the enemy, the infiltrator, the intruder, the thief. As for the aggressive players, of varying levels, he will hide, backstab, knock someone unconscious and from behind, or snipe from a distance, all to avoid what he's got coming. It's not a generalized cowardice, but a specific kind, meant to avoid facing his victims or facing off with those who are doing their jobs.:cheeky:
And yeah...he steals from servants and babies, too. The player may opt not to do it, but the loot is there, it counts when collected, and Garrett never expresses regret when the player takes whatever can be taken.
Specialized cowardice.
