Looking at all Taffers who most reply on this forum: I got this idea:
What if I would arrange a meeting with the Thief fans .... arrange it all, hotels, diners a.s.o. for a day or two, just to meet all of us, Taffers?!
Next year.
If I can I would like to offer a European tour as well.
Off course, there will be a price tagged onto this: coming from Russia, Canada, the U.S., Portugal, Siberië, Italy, France, Germany, Finland, Singapore ..... and a lot more :thumb:
It's just an idea, because I met some of you, but I would like to meet all of the "insiders" here on the forum.
Just give it a thought and get back to me

I've always wanted to visit the infamous coffee shops of Amsterdam!

How far away are you from Gorinchem in South Holland?
This is the 3-bridge city on which the City in Thief is based, and there are a few landmarks to see, most famously our beloved haunted Cathedral.
It might be too far for a meeting ... but it's fun to think about.

You KNOW I'll be there! And probably Ger, too. Even if it's just the 3 of us again, it'll be fun!

I would like to like to come (intentional redundancy), but chances are that I'll just be sitting quietly in a corner - unless you put DromEd in front of me (than I would sit quietly in front of a computer instead (with the occasional cursing when DromEd
crashes proves its independency) :p )...
I'm usually not a very talkative person, unfortunately, but I'm tempted to give this a try. I'm all in for any and all activities, like taking a hike in the surroundings looking at Thief-like buildings and stuff. What about those caves you once promised?

But I really mean it! I could throw a BBQ ..... I have some great surroundings to explore: the caves in the St. Pietersberg, here nearby ..... really great! Very "Thieflike" .... very REAL!!!
There're a lot of bats ..... also.
My father (he died in 1972) made all of the electricity channels in these caves during WorldWar II, to provide for an escape to a lot of persons, when there was a raid.

Gloria,
I might be in Holland around the week of 9th of August visiting friends...just a thought.
Gloria Creep on 16/7/2010 at 21:10
Suewan, do you mean in 2011?
Gorinchem is less than a two hour drive from my hometown.
I live in the south of the Netherlands, near Maastricht, next to the German and Belgian border.
Redleaf, I think we should certainly meet again here.
The time I spent with you and Nighshifter in Maastricht was awesome.
We still have a lot to explore here.
The caves are certainly worth a visit, Taffers.
Lots of Thieflooking buildings to see here too.
I would like to hear from you if you would like to come to the Netherlands where I could arrange some visits a.s.o. or do you additionally want to visit Paris for a day or so ....
Bring me the idea's and I'll see what I can arrange.
BTW: Coffeshops are not only in Amsterdam :ebil:
Gloria Creep
I guess the visit should take more than just 2 days hehehe .....

Staying in The Netherlands seems quite enough to me - unless there's something really special going on in Paris!?
suewan on 17/7/2010 at 10:18
Gloria,
I mean this year but I visit my friends in Holland nearly every year...just food for thought.
