Would it be worthwhile to have a Thief Meet thread to memorialize and inspire such fan meetings? It could just index the existing threads and each post could include the Place(s), Dates, and Attendees, and any Photos and Highlights (like T-shirts and other memorabilia for the occasion, Thief gaming sessions, tours, food, and so on).

I would have loved to join the Augsburg group. I lived there from 1945 to 1950. 45 Uland Strasse, just behind the Cathedral. Watched the recast bells being installed while a mere lad of 10.
Used to play in the backstage and stagehand balconies in the old opera house. Loved the city. Ahh, we get so soon old and forget the pleasures of youth.

Blackman: If you come to Holland while I'm there, I could definitely find you a nice crash pad (probably with me) for free. So you wouldn't need to pay for any food or a place to sleep. If you come while Nightshifter and I are playing some gigs with the Blues Machine (mid-Aug thru early Oct) we could JAAAM! I read you were a friend of Rambling Jack. I met him once on a lost weekend and we hung out together for a few days. That was a long time ago. He was a crazy sob - bet you have some great stories.
Gloria: the city of 3 bridges sounds like the best place for a taffer meeting. I have some great friends in Paris I'd love to see again, but this year's travel budget is very tight. Those French taffers make some really great missions - and the texturing is usually top of the bar. I still have great pix from there that need to become texture packs.
Knock: My sister wants to take me to Ireland - probably around the first week of October. Maybe do some ancestry research (Merrick, Meyrick family and Haley, O'Donnell, French, etc). Not sure where we'll go yet. What county are you? Be nice to meet taffers everywhere!

There is such a thread in the german speaking thief forum (ttlg.de) but it hasn't been updated for 2 years :(
