Reading through this thread, really wanting to participate, and coming to the realization that I'm a broke-ass college student and it's entirely unfeasible for me has led to me thinking of an idea (which is always dangerous for me- both the act of thinking and coming up with ideas). Would anyone want to have a long-distance Thief meeting on some sort of voice chat program like Ventrillo? What I'm thinking is we schedule a specific time and FM for everyone to play and all just simultaneously play it and talk about it. This would be something that would be interesting to do for the upcoming Holloween Contest, all of us sharing our opinions in a voice chatroom as we play. I know this is considerably more lame than meeting up in person, but if enough people wanted to do it, I'd happily buy the Ventrillo server myself (they're like...dirt cheap).
This is probably a terrible idea, but my backspace key is broken and I have an irresistible compulsion to push Submit Reply buttons, so now you're all going to have to read it.

It's a good idea. If we're already playing together, though, there's no reason not to play T2 multiplayer coop (I believe you can have at least 4 people playing together), so even we're playing coop in the same FM at the same time while we're chatting. Multiplayer T2 coop is very fun if you haven't tried it yet! And it's also very conducive to fun conversations.
