Sorry for the delay. Looks like there are a few I can cross off the list.
Sacred 2 sounds out of the running.
Alpha Protocol gets put into suspension, sounds like it needs some serious patching before I'd consider it. (Which seems to be a major trend with Obsidian...)
Lego Star Wars seems to be the crowd favorite. If I pre-order Lego Harry Potter, i could easily pick up The Complete Saga for $10.
Borderlands - sounds decent, someone mentioned grinding, ugh..... (probably why it was listed as boring by mothra.)
Dungeon Siege 2- Still not enough info. Diablo Clone doesn't tell me much (some clones are great). Liked DS1, at least the atmosphere. So if it has that same "feel" too it, may be worth a shot.
Does any one have any idea why a 2006 game would still be full price?
(Own and played Divine Divinity. Yes, it is awesome. Sadly, Ego Draconis was nowhere near as fun.)
Edit: Check out the metacritic site, so I'm adding Drakensang: The Dark Eye to the list.

I can tell you about Dungeon Siege 2. I played some of it once and quit. It's a mediocre RPG with a plot that's melted into the morass of generic high fantasy video-game sludge in my memory. The graphics aren't anything special and there's very little personality or atmosphere to it; it's a dungeon crawler for the sake of being a dungeon crawler. Not even the best part of a Diablo clone - frantic left-clicking - is done well and most everything can be automated to a large extent.
Verdict? Skippit.
Lego's fun in short bursts. Borderlands hasn't clicked with me yet, but if you want a light-hearted Diablo clone with a bajillion guns and loot drops and rote quests in a first person perspective, Borderlands seems to be it.
Alpha Protocol seems to be the dark horse in the running here. It needs patches and some of its gameplay mechanics are ridiculously flawed, but my goodness it manages to pull you in regardless.

Yup. If you're willing to put up with Alpha Protocol, you might wanna give Deadly Premonition a try too. The graphics are outdated, but the music sure is awesome and the enemy AI actually has some semblance of logic.

Hey, that looks very interesting, thanks. It's weird that I'd never heard of the game until now. Any idea how the PS3 version is performance-wise?
Demetros on 12/6/2010 at 05:06
PS3? I dunno, I've got the 360 port.
By the way, the title of the game is as relevant to the actual game itself as the title "Resident Evil" to any part of the game Resident Evil whatsoever. The guys who came up with the English titles must be collaborating.
Of course there are control issues. The production values are really bad. Really bad. But man, the story and the music are really something else! Though I know it's a bit weird listening to something upbeat and jazzy while... (

Whether you think that was in good taste or not, it's a fact that Deadly Premonition really did have catchy, good tracks that were memorable (and I mean aside from that link – whistling theme, w00t!) and Alpha Protocol did not.

Heh. It's like a Japanese take on Twin Peaks. Incredibly weird and terrible-looking, but I'm definitely intrigued. I might just have to import the PS3 version from Play Asia when I get the chance. Speaking of soundtracks, Alpha Protocol's is your typical Hollywood action movie orchestral bombast. I like it for what it is.

My feelings for both Alpha Protocol and Red Seeds... I both like them, and yet I don't like them, but I keep coming back to them. Like an abused spouse or something.
It's weird.

I find it kind of strange that borderlands is regarded so highly. I gave up on it very quickly -- it felt dull, sort of buggy and unpolished.
Amen. This game just bored me to tears, I just don't get why people like it. The whole game (or at least as far as I got) is a bunch of repetitive WoW type fetch/retrieve/kill quests. Completely awful. It makes Bioshock and Thief Deadly Shadows look innovative and complex.

Do you have the retail version? If so...wanna sell it? I am looking for a copy myself.
I was gonna throw my copy up on ebay (360 though), if you want it at a reasonable price, it's yours. PM me.

Oh, only PC here with no plans to get a console. Thanks though.

If this hasn't been decided yet - Drakensang is the best of the listed rpgs imo. It's a little bit linear in places, but it has a bit more depth than the others while still being pretty lightweight. Also, it looks great and in a pleasure enhancing way rather than an 'appreciate for about 5mins' way.
I don't recommend Dungeon Seige 2 at all. It hasn't got much spirit to it, a dead game. Boring.
