excuse me sir, i did mention that it's a PSEUDO medieval setting, which it is. and what there is to understand? robots that work on steam? yes, that's very deep. i would understand if you asked that about T1. btw, i gave T1 10/10 in the other thread, and obviously i dig T1 better than you T2 fanboys. i just hate T2 for spoiling everything, it was a big big disappointment for me.
So Robots are a NoNo but Zombies are ok? :eww: :ebil:
In fact, steam powered robots are still more realistic then zombies. After all you can create a logic gate with almost anything and a collegue of mine had as a master thesis a project where exactly this was implemented only with water pipes.
Of course the size of such a steam powered robot would be a lot bigger than in T2. :)
T1 10/10
T2 10/10
T3 3/10

@Chade:
Notice the very quote that you quoted me: I changed my mind after all - and besides, IGN and GameSpot both use the 1-10 scales and neither says that a 10 is "perfect." Therefore, one does not need to even use the term perfect, because after all, I pretty much agree with you that there's no such thing as perfect in video games. Humans make mistakes...;)
However, if you were just trying to explain why perfect is a bad term to use, then disregard the above. Just seemed like you were attacking my post.

i have said it before and i will say it again: TMA is a soulless game with no atmosphere and weak level design. robots in medieval setting, even tho its a pseudo medieval one, look STUPID. hence 5/10 from me.

...but floating fireballs that shoot
other floating fireballs in Thief 1 aren't stupid at
all.
It's all personal taste. It's just a shame that your personal taste is so terrible.

Nah, I just take any excuse to stand up on my little soap box and pontificate for an hour or two ...

Hi, im new
I considered it brilliant, whereas TDP, to me; was a masterpiece. It wasn't that big a deal that they replaced most of the monsters with a bunch of gibbering robots,(which were cool in their own way), but they also reused a few of the levels for different missions, which I didn't care for.

Wait, what?

Two Lost City missions (The Lost City/Kidnap), two Hammerite Temple missions (Undercover/Strange Bedfellows), two Gervaisius' Manor missions (Masks/Casing the Joint), the Ambush/Trace the Courier missions.
So really, only one repeat in TDP/Gold, and they were significantly different.
TMA's Masks/Casing the Joint were the ones most griped about.

Oh shit, I forgot about Kidnap. Brainfart majorly.
Hmm, never really thought about it but it's true you go to a place more than once... But the circumstances are different each time.

And in TDS, we go back and forth and back and forth between missions we visit once.
