There's a rather gorgeous-looking (

I like the visual style and environmental destruction, but I really can't get past the fact that there's no separate firing and moving directions. Having to walk back to the mob I'm running away from for a split second to lock my firing in that direction is a pain in the ass, and usually makes me eat a bullet if there's bullet-spitting enemies.
I hope they turn this into a twin stick shooter like Robotron is.

You can fire in different direction to that you're moving in. For example, I use the numpad to fire - in any direction - and the cursor keys to move!
But then I can't hit space to jump. Hmm. Maybe WASD/Space to move, and numpad to fire would work, if you can change it...

That's great, I'm enjoying it much more now!
Default controls already support WASD+Space+Numpad. They really should make that more obvious though, not tell you only that Z is jump and X is fire.

Loving this. Just beat Pukey McLonglegs.
My favourite moment so far was when I used the timefreeze powerup outside and the raindrops froze in midair. Ooooohmygodthatisamaaaaaazing
My only criticism is that it's sometimes hard to see what's going on if you run behind something. Would love some online coop in future versions.

Or you could call it Voxatron.
Blue Sky on 1/11/2011 at 17:52
Going back to it I'm very glad to discover it remembers which room you'd got to!
Using WSAD/Spacebar much better. Yes.
But now stuck in a room where you cause an explosion to drop this large wooden chest full of tiny little blue critters. Argh!

So they've added "The Binding of Isaac" and "Blocks That Matter" to the bundle.
Again they've talked me into buying bundle and I 'll probably give the lion share percentage to Lexaloffle, since they're a kiwi developer who aren't doing "work for hire" licensed crap like Sidhe. Fuck Sidhe man, the only decent thing they did was that Super Breakout clone where you can control the direction of the wind.
(and as usual, 0% is going to Penny Arcade.)

@Eva: So are the charities different for separate regions then?
EvaUnit02 on 1/11/2011 at 18:53
Nope. Lexaloffle is the developer of Voxatron. I'd imagine that they're going to do very well out of this high profile international sale, which is great. It's always good to see kiwi developers other than fucking Sidhe doing well.
