When did heavy metal fans become hipsters, anyway? I'm glad most of my friends can both appreciate completely obscure metal and also throw on a Steel Panther album or play Brutal Legend and understand why those things are fucking amazing and funny.

Are you given individual Steam keys for each game, or is it the usual Humble Bundle thing here where you're given one bulk Steam key for the whole bundle?

Shit, I have been a metal head since 82. I grew up on that shit and still have it on my .mp3 in heavy rotation. I thought BL was a pretty good homage to the genre and showed they respected it. The soundtrack complaints are somewhat justified, though they probably just got (licensed) what they could afford in most cases. Most of the major and important obscure groups are represented, they just ended up with oddball songs in some cases.

Is the song from the intro (the shitty nu metal one) on the soundtrack? That would be a fun track to blast while driving around the city with no concept of irony, subtlety or satire.

Having now played Brutal Legend (thanks to the bundle), I can answer this. Yes. Yes it is. Thankfully, you can also immediately skip it.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised when that came on the radio as I was cruising around.
Speaking of cruising around, it was completely pointless to lock the GPS upgrade for your car until after you beat the campaign. There is literally no reason to continue playing at that point, other than going for 100% completion, and the bonuses/fire tributes you get from finding things in the world serve no purpose once the campaign is over.
