I'll second that and add that it's best played with a controller.

Latest Weekly Humble Bundle are old school-style FPSes published by Devolver Digital (...and System Shock 2, bizarrely).
Worth getting for Shadow Warrior Classic Redux alone. FINALLY a STABLE, semi-feature rich source port of SW! We've been needing this for YEARS! (SWP is crashy shit and had constant save corruption. JonoF's ~2003 original source port is not really any different.)

Where's Dethtoll when I have a spare Brutal Legend key I need to give someone?

You realize I'd just pass it on to someone deserving. (read: they pissed me off)

In that case, can I please cash in my comments in the FG debate?

Don't forget that this bundle also contains the soundtracks. Fez, FTL and especially Trine 2 soundtracks are absolutely worth owning.
I already own all the games in this bundle (-Eets which I'll probably never play), and I still bought it to get the Goblin Menace music :).

Okay sir, you have convinced me. I actually played Shadow Warrior a few months ago and had the exact same experience with the source ports. I ended up using Dosbox.

I bought Trine 2 directly from the devs back in the first half of 2012. I still haven't played it. They were holding back the DRM-free version for Windows, but they promised on the purchase page that it would be added to the Humble Store accounts some time before the end of that year, which I was okay with.
Not only did that not eventuate in 2012 (and I noted that they quietly removed that text from the web page), but it never eventuated at all. Hilariously, given the HIB9 release, there is STILL no Windows download available to me at the Humble Store for that original purchase.
Anyway, I'm sure the game is awesome -- the original game was superb, and I also really enjoyed their Shadowgrounds games before that -- but someone still deserves a good slapping.

:erg: Just play the Steamworks version, which I'm sure is perfectly fine?
