Richard Matheson has passed away. (

I've always been a huge fan of the Twilight Zone, still watching episodes regularly, and could always tell a Matheson story from one of Beaumont's, or Johnson's, or Serling's--they were always more on the fantasy/horror side opposed to having a hidden (and often blatant) societal message, yet were extremely well conceived and well written.
Do yourselves a favor, if you haven't read it, read, 'Nightmare at 20,000 feet', a collection of Matheson's short stories; a chilling and fantastic read by a writer who, though dealing with flights of fancy and damn-good-scares, wrote honestly and was a master of his craft.

I've not read anything but I Am Legend and to this day I'm annoyed that no ones just makes it the way it is in the book.
Having said that I understand that Matheson liked the 2007 film, and for that at least we can be glad.
RIP
