Looking forward to my journey, Bosh thanks. By the way, how do you tell what the size of an FM is?
Bosh on 6/6/2013 at 15:06
Hi llanita, You can download FMs from various places - I find the list at (
thiefmissions.com) thiefmissions.com useful as it lists FMs by title, author, date of release,
file size and which version of Thief the FM is for. So you can see the file size easily here. You can click the column you want to order the FMs e.g. alphabetically by title, the most recent releases, favourite author, or size!

thiefmissions.com also includes the links to mission threads in the forum here - sometimes it's an easier way of finding one when you're stuck.

Thanks again. I will say though, I WILL NOT be playing any FMs with zombies in it.

Ilantia - welcome to the world of FMs. You'll find most of them are more fun than the latest overpriced AAA Big Company retail game. Here's a few I highly recommend:
Broken Triad - 2 mission campaign, my favorite FM all-time (Ominous Bequest by the same author is pretty damn good too).
Greyfeather Gems 2: Rodamill - Just played this for the first time ever - a great abandoned city mission to explore, oozing with atmosphere.
Transitions in Chaos Part 1: Conspiracies in the Dark - Just about the best mansion mission around.
T2X: Shadows of the Metal Age - A 13 mission campaign as big as any of the original games, created by dozens of people over a 5 year period. One of the biggest fan created projects ever.
(there's probably a couple of zombies spread throughout the above list, but don't let that scare you off).

Hi again Brethren, all my thanks to you for bringing FMs to my attention! I've been playing the ones you gave me a link to on sanguine metal dreams web page. Can't tell the difference between the original game and those FMs.
I will certainly start on your new recommendations.

I felt the same way when I discovered them a few months back :D
They are truly wonderful and I've only played 50 or so. Loads yet to go!! :cheeky:
It's just a shame we're finally getting some sun and good weather here, and the desire to be outside is cutting down on my precious Thief time :p

Sir Prancealot I had to laugh at your post. :laff:

Try The Seven Sisters by Lady Rowena. My personal favorite. A real crowd pleaser!
