I love the fact there are always
more FMs to play! I've been regularly playing FMs for about three years or so, working my way down the list (I go by size :sly:), and there are
still loads of FMs I have yet to play - plus new ones coming out all the time (hurrah! Author love :thumb:). Oh, lucky you llanita, your FM journey may just be beginning, but there are many, many panoramic miles to go. Thief... it's a beautiful world!
I'm still finding fan missions I've missed. Not one site seems to be completely comprehensive, though usually it is a few German and some French and Japanese FMs that get missed. Although I don't know how I missed the Bathory Campaign for this long.

I am making a list of all suggestions. Thanks to everyone.

That's what I did too. Just made a massive list of every recommended or highly ranked (7 out of 10 or above) mission. Then I had such a hard time choosing from that list that I ended up picking randomly every time. That has gotten me through a fair amount of missions, but there are still so many to go. You absolutely have to play Calendra's Cistern for Thief 1 and it's sequel (3-mission campaign) Calendra's Legacy for Thief 2. The latter is the best mission pack ever made in my mind.

llanita: Great to see that you are having fun with playing FMs, there are so many out there and all offer a new experience! :D
I'm new to the forum as well but everyone seems to have some really great suggestions that can help out everyone, especially if they need to know some good missions to play.
For what it's worth, I found that if you go onto the official Garrettloader site and click on FM Scores, then click high scored FMs you can see a good list of some of the FMs that people have been enjoying and recommending. (

It helped me out with picking out some good fan missions to enjoy, plus it has search options for types of characters and themes so you can find FMs that might suit your tastes. :)
Hope this helps.

I don't know if the GL scores are a legitimate way to pick FMs, since it's not used by many. Add to it that more and more folks are using New Dark's built-in FM loader.
Potter Developments is missing a boatload of FMs, BTW.

Not saying it's necessarily legitimate Ricebug though I presented it as an alternative to other ways of finding FMs that were provided here. It's up to llanita to decide what to do with all the information. ;)
As for missing fms, it's usually pretty hard to keep up with all of them. Unless you search around, and that can be pretty lengthy.

Not sooo hard actually, cause you have me. ;)
(
http://thiefmissions.com/search.cgi?search=&sort=release) Thiefmissions.com has caught up quite a bunch of stuff and is again the most accurate & complete Mission hosting site you can find.
For all the stuff that doesn't make it there in time, my (
http://www.gnartsch.de/Thief-FM/Thief_updates.shtml) nagging list of omissions is there in order to fill that gap. You may bookmark it.
And I never get tired of updating it. :cheeky:

 Nah I'm ecstatic about that, really. There aren't too many forums out there where you can chat about Thief with other people.
Thanks for the welcome. :)
Thanks!! :D I've already gone through 60 or so FMs but there's 100s out there so it's great to get some info every now and then. Ricebug, I'll take you up on your offer after I've started Sturmdrang Peak. :thumb:

Welcome to the community! This place is awesome- if you hung out here and only here you would almost be convinced the Internet was a place full of polite, helpful people. IT'S CRAZINESS!
All of the suggestions you've received for FMs are great, but (if you don't mind a little bit of shameless self-promotion) you should also check out this thread (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124349) here. Besides the reviews I've submitted there's a HUGE database of missions that have been critiqued there, and they're almost all worth playing. I'm still trying to keep up with the output of some of the contributors there- SneakyJack especially was a reviewing machine at one point. Also- back to the shameless self promotion part- my top ten lists linked under the "special features" section of the original post might help you find some good starting FMs that meet certain themes you may enjoy (though I'm assuming the top ten zombie missions list wouldn't be up your alley).
