Welcome to the community! This place is awesome- if you hung out here and only here you would almost be convinced the Internet was a place full of polite, helpful people. IT'S CRAZINESS!
All of the suggestions you've received for FMs are great, but (if you don't mind a little bit of shameless self-promotion) you should also check out this thread (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124349) here. Besides the reviews I've submitted there's a HUGE database of missions that have been critiqued there, and they're almost all worth playing. I'm still trying to keep up with the output of some of the contributors there- SneakyJack especially was a reviewing machine at one point. Also- back to the shameless self promotion part- my top then lists linked under the "special features" section of the original post might help you find some good starting FMs that meet certain themes you may enjoy (though I'm assuming the top ten zombie missions list wouldn't be up your alley).
Nice link!! :D I like how there are links to reviews of each fan mission. ;) But yeah, zombie missions aren't normally my thing but I did like the zombies is the Seven Sisters campaign.
I suppose my favourite themes in fan missions center around horror/humour and exploration. :)

The Mike very nice work you've done there. Wow there is so much dedication by some of you as far as sorting all the FMs out.

New to FMs and to this forum. Thanks to you both. I'm so hooked with this game it's pathetic.
I play modern games too, but once they are beat them, I always come back to my Thief 2 FMs. No where else can you find such a wide array of missions, challenges and stories. It is hands down the bar that I compare any other game to, so far none come close, even later versions of Thief. The Thief2 FM is head and shoulder above others at keeping a game alive, even surpassing the original.

Ive played about 10 FMs so far, all from recommendations, and I can't get over how incredibly well done they are. I forget that they are FMs. I have got to thank Brethren again for bringing them to my attention.

There are many that I consider far better than any of the original missions themselves even though I know that will send some hardcore players into an eye rolling tailspin just reading those words :laff:
It was probably mentioned but the T2X campaign is probably one of the greatest fan mission achievements I've seen for any game. Multiple missions that are incredibly well done. I guess one advantage that fan mission authors and teams have is no hard set deadline or restrictions as to what they want to do.
While I'm thinking about it if you really enjoy mansion missions another favorite is (
http://keepofmetalandgold.com/missionst2/HeistSociety_v10.zip) Heist Society. That and (
http://keepofmetalandgold.com/missionst2/WickedRelicsV1.1.zip) Wicked Relics are among two of the best. It would take all day for me to list every quality mission though so I'm just throwing out a few at a time. :laff:
