I couldn't find a physical Hammerite Holy Book.. So I made one - by Tilghan

Hey folks. I've been deeply invested in the Thief series for a while. I keep trying to get hold of neat Thief related memorabilia but since it's such a niche game that's a bit older, there's not a whole lot around. I've resorted to making my own. I put together a Hammerite Holy Book by combining several sources of Hammerite scripture into a 30 page handmade leather bound booklet.
Here it is!

Let me know what you guys think. Also this is my first post on this forum so if I'm in the wrong place, kindly point me in the right direction.

Let's be honest here. It looks like a summer camp arts and crafts project.

I'm open to suggestions. If you've got ideas on how to improve instead of detracting statements, I'd love to hear them.

Welcome to the forums, Tilghan!
I think it looks good. I like the cover, and the parchment-like paper you used.
If you really do want suggestions for the next one, you might consider using a calligraphy pen. You don't actually have to know much about calligraphy or even use "true" calligraphy pens (the kind where you dip the pen in a bottle of ink). There are lots of (

And they usually come with a simple instruction booklet. It shouldn't take long to learn a very basic technique, and it would improve the look of the book immensely, imho.

I tried to make it look as authentic as possible with the hand done stitching and the parchment paper. It might not come through because my handwriting isn't very good, but I actually did use a quill pen for the text. I grabbed a cheap cartridge based one from a hobby store.

Although your spirit is true, the crudeness of thy crafting has left The Builder with a frown...One must aspire to higher standards, so as to create a worthy holy work, lest you find thyself gazing upon an unintended mockery.
Remember...If the foundation is weak, do you wail and gnash your teeth? Do you ask it to repour itself? Nay, you tear it down and begin anew.
